About Black Business Network
We are a people broken and divided, shadows of our former selves, disenfranchised, exploited and left without a voice or influence. The collective culmination of resources and aggressive progression of our people will allow to us to feel at home in our land.
For far too long we have given the responsibility of our liberation to others, it is now time to put it in our own hands, it is time to emancipate ourselves.
The economy, the land, we cannot settle to living in the servitude of those who would never wish to see us restored, those who would never wish to see us whole.
Land is a critical asset for building and sustaining wealth because it serves as a foundational resource for various economic activities, such as agriculture, real estate development, and natural resource extraction. Owning land provides individuals and communities with opportunities to generate income, secure housing, and leverage property as collateral for loans. Additionally, land ownership often appreciates in value over time, offering long-term financial stability and wealth accumulation. It also plays a vital role in ensuring food security and self-sufficiency, making it an essential component of economic independence and prosperity.
Owning the economy means the government dances to your tune, big business influences legislation, that legislation and the practices of major institutions in South Africa work against black South Africans. Something we cannot fight if we do not possess the economic power and influence to contest this consistent onslaught of the progression of our people as a whole,
Our oppression has been long and strenuous, it continues post apartheid because we fail to stand and work together towards a common goal.
Our liberators have become our oppressors leaving us to be second class citizens in our own land, merely to live in the servitude of our “former” oppressors.
We are landless, poor, and own little of our economy, the South African economy.
That must change, this is the vehicle through which we will enact that change.
The façade of a rainbow nation is the velvet veil through which centuries of wealth accumulated through theft, mass killings, violent displacement, disenfranchisement, monumental inequality, the perpetration of crimes against humanity have all been legitimised.
Political power only to promote the political elite and maintain the order that allows us to be the most unequal country in the world. We the people of this land have been forsaken.
There can be no rainbow nation without equality.
The racism and oppression will continue so long as we do not have power, resources, a stronghold of the economy. We must come together, work together and make it our own.
There is no respect without power.
We are a worthy and capable people, our greatest downfall lies within knowing better but not doing better.
Let black money circulate black hands, black businesses.
